I joined Weight Watchers

I was not sure if I would share this with everyone. Frankly, I was a little embarassed about the fact that I needed to join Weight Watchers. Then I realized that anyone who has seen me lately can easily see that I am a big guy. I also realized that trying to change is a positive thing, not a negative.

So anyways, after that less than impressive first paragrapgh, I have this to say: Weight Watchers actually works! 

I should quickly say that I have only just been at it a week, but I weighed in last night and found that I had lost 4.8 pounds. Not to shabby? I think they expect that most folks would lose around 2 pounds a week, but I think I can do better.

Sure it's a little tougher for me as I am not really enjoying my potatoe chip withdrawal symptoms, but I found that eating good healthy foods and drinking plenty of water wasn't so bad after all. In fact, it makes me feel pretty damn good.

I am not going to post weekly or monthly entries here about my successes or failures. I think I'll just keep getting healthier quietly, until I reach my goal weight of around 180 to 185 pounds.
